OPEN CALL: visual and literary artists
Curating the Young claims space for young people in the art world. We seek and create opportunities for young artists to exhibit their artwork and assist them with the growth of their artistic career and oeuvre. Showing their talent to a new audience and giving them a financial boost.
For expo °3 we are looking for 10 artists (from visual arts to spoken word and poetry) for a coronaproof exhibition in Leuven, Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp & Hasselt. The theme of the exhibition is 'Naked', in all its meanings (to get exposed literally or figuratively). A lot of exposure, a minimum of effort and above all: no chance of cancellation due to lockdown *insert number here*.
More precisely
This will be a poster exhibition with work of 10 artists. The expo will take place in the 2nd half of March in Leuven, Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp & Hasselt.
We work with prints of artworks that we will exhibit in the streets (windows of local businesses). The theme of the exhibition is 'Naked': exposing yourself, literally or figuratively. Interpret it how you like it.
The construction of the exhibition, public mediation, external communication: we take care of it all. Just surf on our flow!
What about the $$$? We exhibit your work and together we look for some options to sell your work. Because empowering young artists means giving them a stage and providing them with financial support.
Who are you?
– You are a young creative between 18 and 30 years old
- You are looking for a unique stage to show your talent
- All forms of art are welcome (as long as it’s printable).
We also explicitly hope for literary submissions for this open call: pamphlets, poems, spoken word, etc

After February 9, our team will select the 10 candidates. We look at the vibe of the work, the genre and what is possible at the location.
